Hey, I’m Lisa McCabe
Having discovered Yoga at a very young age, I follow the path of Svadhyaya, the fourth Niyama which translates as ‘Self Study’.
This path has taken me around the globe where I feel extremely fortunate to have studied with some of the world’s leading Yoga teachers including Sarah Powers, Paul Grilley, Scott Blossom, John Ogilvie, Nadia Narain, Elena Brower and my teacher for the last several years Tiffany Cruikshank. Each has empowered my teaching and strengthened my voice to specialise in the Therapeutic Application of Yoga.
My knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology allows me to work alongside Health professionals supporting them with their patients’ recovery and needs. Together with my knowledge of Yoga allows me to take an holistic approach to this.
Alongside my studio is my clinic Optimal Health and Wellbeing which is where I conduct Health Screenings and offer Lifestyle Medicine to both individuals and organisations.
Founder of OmShanti Yoga Living Jersey’s only Yoga Therapy Studio and Training School.
I am a self confessed anatomy geek who has spent decades studying the art of Yoga, Anatomy and Physiology. Over the years I have learnt how to blend both these fascinating subjects together to offer these tools as a 1-1 session within my space or as a specialist course held for groups.
Now with over 23 years in the Yoga industry and 16 years of teaching my dedication to study has led me to become a Yoga Medicine Therapeutic Specialist, A Senior Yoga Alliance Teacher, A Yoga Coach, A Yoga Alliance Trainer Pro and a forever Yoga student.

Yoga to me is a tool that supports you on all levels
Physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually, each part working towards revealing what’s important to us in life and showing us how we can live and face daily challenges in a therapeutic environment that keeps us connected to who we truly are.
From personal experience it has supported me through my own fertility journey, grief, unhappiness, stress and countless other challenges I have faced in my short lifetime. It is my anchor, my support and my lifelong partner that is there whenever I need it, a moment in my breath, a physical practise or just an honest conversation with myself, it has and will always be my best medicine.
